Founded in 2018, The Agency at Quinnipiac University provides communications students with hands-on learning opportunities, connecting them with professionals and clients. FACULTY ADVISORS

The Agency is currently under the direction of John Powers, Ph.D, Director of the Graduate Program in Interactive Media and Communications, and Alexander Laskin, Ph.D, Professor of Public Relations at Quinnipiac University.

John Powers, Ph.D

Co-CEO

John Powers has vast experience as an educator, senior communications professional, administrator, writer, editor, and digital media practitioner. He is the Director of the Graduate Program in Interactive Media and Communications and Assistant Professor of Interactive Media and Design at Quinnipiac University. John has worked previously at the Yale University School of Nursing as their Director of Public Affairs and Communications and is presently the President and CEO of the Dominican Republic Mission Team.

Alexander Laskin, Ph.D

Co-CEO

Alexander V. Laskin, Ph.D., is a professor at Quinnipiac University (USA). He is the author of almost 100 publications, including books, book chapters, and scholarly articles, focused primarily on investor relations, international public relations, reputation management, and measurement and evaluation. His most recent book, Handbook of Financial Communication and Investor Relations, offers state-of-the-art thinking and practice in investor relations and financial communication.
